Easter Week

This Sunday is Palm Sunday.
I love thinking about Easter Week, the Savior's last week.

This is a beautiful video you can watch this Easter Season with your family.

You can follow along each day of Easter Week here.

I put up a post last year of the Bible videos you can watch each day for Easter Week.
Our family likes following along that way.

the Small Seed posted this idea on their blog from Melanie Burk's idea.
You can download the pictures shown below for each day, and some scriptures that go with it, or an activity to. You could put the scriptures in an easter egg for you littles.
Don't make it a huge project. Keep it simple, the blog post has a lot of detail. It's too much for me.
I'm showing it, because I love putting up these pictures on a wall in our home.
The post allows you to download the pictures easily.

Easter 2015

We had a great Easter Week and weekend.

I love studying about the Savior's last week. What he did each day.
I put up a photo wall of each day to help our family remember.

Each night we also we watched a short video clip about
what the Savior did each day of his week before he died using these bible videos.

On Saturday we went over to Grandma Dianne's house with cousins and
colored Easter eggs. We were also able to listen and watch some of the LDS General Conference.

 Egg Coloring with President Uchtdorf!

On Sunday the kids were excited that the Easter Bunny came. He delivered some candy in their baskets. Tate didn't get any toys or remote control planes in his basket.

We watched, slept, and enjoyed some more General Conference.
Then, in the evening we headed over to my sister, Molly's home,
for a delicious Easter potluck dinner, and cousin's egg hunt.
Molly and her husband recently moved with their family onto some acreage.
So, egg hunting on their property was a lot of fun!

Tate found a caterpillar instead of an Easter Egg.

Thanks Dianne for hard boiling so many eggs for coloring,
and hosting our family for Easter Weekend.
Thanks Molly for hosting such a fun Easter Dinner!

Easter 2014

None of the kids wanted to pose for our Easter photo this year.
This was the best we could do.
In the bright sun, with squinty eyes.
Lovely.
Kyle broke the "no pose" rule to show off the new hula hoop.
Sadie was willing to bring props and pose for her Easter picture.
Thank you Sadie!
I did manage a quick shot of Tate and his new Easter bow tie.
Again, squinty bright sun photo problems.
We had a lovely Easter dinner, with Molly and Sally's families.
The food was delicious as always.
The day before, we decorated eggs with Grandma Dianne,
and celebrated Grandma Peggy's 96th b-day.
Always a fun tradition.

(We have photos of this somewhere on Chris' phone.)

Our Wonderful Spring Break

We were able to travel to Oregon to visit with my whole family.
My parents, all my sisters' and their families,
and to see my brother return home
from his 2-yr. L.D.S. Mission from California.

It was such a great week, with my parents as fabulous hosts.
We all slept under the same roof.
20+ people!

We packed everything in. From birthdays, to a bridal shower, Easter, and family time.
Every day there was something BIG to celebrate.
My mom at the airport, anxiously waiting to see her son again after 2 years.

Proud Parents
Welcome Home, Steven!
Well Done!

The annual cousin jelly bean hunt inside grandma's house!
It was hard to get a good photo of the kids.
They were racing through the house, to find those jelly beans.

We decorated Easter Eggs.

We celebrated my grandpa's 90th year.
(His 90th is coming up in July)
Since we were all together we thought it would be fun to honor him.
We played a fun game of Jeopardy honoring his life.
He loves Jeopardy.
(He almost left his party of Jeopardy to watch the real show on tv.)

Sadie up way too high.

We visited plenty of local parks.
The weather was PERFECT!
We rode on the Portland Sky Tram, and saw the beautiful Portland view.

We celebrated my sister, Stacey's recent engagement and upcoming wedding!
We had a girls-only night out and bridal shower!
Very Fun.
I was able to take some fun photos of them!
They are so HAPPY!

My beautiful Mother, turned 60!
Of course we CELEBRATED some more with lots of ice cream.
She didn't even need to blow out her candles this year,
since her wishes have come true for her children.

We ended the great week with Easter Sunday,
and my brother's homecoming talk.
I'm grateful for the Plan of Happiness,
that includes Families that makes all of this possible.
That's really what it's all about.

(In case you can't get enough of our family,
my sister's posted about the week too. Karen, Sally 1 & 2)
