My Kids' Valentine's this year

 Lindy chose and helped make these Valentine's from this Pinterest inspiration.

We bought swedish fish candy in bulk at our local grocery store.

We used sandwich bags and a spool of blue ribbon.

On a 8.5 X11 white cardstock we printed out the blue water-phrase.

(I used our adobe illustrator software to create the water-phrase.)

 Kyle is going crazy with origami these days.

It was an easy idea to say,
"Kyle, why don't you fold up some hearts for you class valentines."

He LOVED the idea! Phew.

We used this pattern.

I think this is a fun craft to do with any shape, or letter, anytime of year.

Hanging Hearts using wax paper and crayon shavings.

Step 1: Draw or Trace a heart on a piece of wax paper.

Step 2: Use a pencil sharpener to make crayon shavings.

Step 3: Place crayon shavings inside heart shape.

Step 4: Place a 2nd sheet of wax paper over the heart and crayon shavings.

Step 5: Place a papertowel over the wax papers, then iron over the design.

I had my iron set to medium and it only took a couple times going over the wax papers,

to melt the crayon wax.
When I saw the crayon start to collect on the paper towel,

then I took the iron off.

Step 6: Remove paper towel, let wax paper cool. (It took a just a couple of min.)

Cut out heart shape.

Step 7: Hole punch a hole, and string a ribbon or string through the hole.

 Step 8: Hang Hearts from your window to let the light show off your colors!
