A slice of heaven

Our family has been able to stay in an Oregon coast beach house twice.
Each time it has been a slice of heaven for our family.
A favorite vacation for sure. So peaceful, and relaxing, a wonderful escape.
Each time we've lucked out with great weather and sunshine.
Our first trip we spent in Yachats,  a couple years ago.

We had made plans last fall to visit Bryce and Zion's National Parks in Utah.
Some of you may remember, the government shut down - closing all US National Parks.
We scrambled to find another vacation spot, at the last minute.
We chose the OR coast: for cost, distance by car travel,
and the weather looked perfect according to our weather apps.

We stayed in a beach house in Seaside. We visited Tillamook and the cheese factory,
and Astoria where we toured a ship and visited the maritime museum, and crossed the bridge to Washington. We also celebrated Tate's 8th b-day while we were on the coast.

Magical.
The Oregon Coast has always been a gift for our family.

Next time try the Washington Coast. I don't know if we can beat Oregon, but it's pretty special to me. We have a condo waiting for visitors, and your first visit is free! :)

I so want to do the oregon coast this summer. I know my kids would be in heaven. Me too! Still trying to convince the hubby that yes, we do need to add another vacation to our calendar this year. I just sprung on him that we are going to Boise for Sadie's bday and matthew's baptism.

Wow. Those photos are incredible. I've never been the Oregon Coast, but would love to some day. Thanks for a glimpse! Your family is beautiful...so amazing to see how much the kids all look so much alike.
