She was 87, soon to be 88 in July.
She died of causes natural to her age,
it was expected,
and still. . .
a surprise to those who cared for her in the end.
My grandparents were married close to 60 years and were sealed in the temple
There is still much I would like to know about my grandma.
But, I know she knew what mattered most in this life,
and attended to those things faithfully her whole life.
Her Latter-Day Saint faith and her family.
For that I will always be grateful for and love her.
- Her good cooking
- Her organ playing and letting us play the organ
- Her fun house with all the stairs
- Her sewing skills making us matching pj's for Christmas one year
- Visiting the Christmas tree farm and being attacked by geese
- Her beautiful yard and landscape, it was delightful
- Her garden, the lizard running up her leg
- Her Oil of Olay lotions
- Her hair with feathered wings on each side
- The grab bag, and tea parties
- Her innocence and desire to choose the right
