For Dianne, Part II

Dianne requested this recipe. It is a lot of fun.
Omelettes in a Bag
  • Get a small freezer ziploc bag.
  • Crack 2 eggs right into the bag.
  • Then add some of your favorite grated cheese to the bag(cheddar, jack, mozarella)
  • Next, chop up your favorite omelette ingredients like:
  1. onions white or green
  2. ham
  3. suasage
  4. bacon
  5. mushrooms
  6. peppers, green or red
  7. olives
  8. tomatoes
  • Add these ingredients to the bag too.
  • Seal the bag & squish the ingredients to mix.
  • Burp the air out. That's important!
  • Bring a med. size pan of water to boil. Place bag in boiling water for about 7 min.
  • Carefully remove bag from hot water. Squish the bag a little on a plate, make sure there is no egg oozing. If egg still looks a little runny, place back in boiling water for an extra min. or two.
  • If egg looks cooked, then open bag and roll onto plate. Walaa. . an omelette!
This is a lot of fun for all ages. You can put whatever you want in your bag. Everyone has fun squishing it around. You can put several bags in a pot at once. Everyone can eat at the same time. I've heard this is great for Reunions and large crowds. Or maybe just a fun dinner idea for your family.
