Lindy is 7. She's in 1st grade and has always enjoyed school. She's been loosing teeth, and loves when the toothfairy comes. She has become a good little reader. She got into jump roping at recess and as it turns out is quite a runner.
The school has a running program. When you run so many miles you get put on a chart 5 mi, 10 mi, 15 mi etc. The other week I was at school looking the mile charts. Assuming Lindy was on the lowest chart with tons of student names. Couldn't find it, looked at the next chart, couldn't find her name. Then went back again to both the low mile charts, Finally looked at the 10 mi. There she was with hardly any student names on it.
I just couldn't believe it, never would have guessed.
We love having Lindy in our family. She likes being good and is a great big sister. She helps keep everyone in line. She just recently started gymnastics and is enjoying it. "Feels like I'm practicing for the olympics"
She likes horses and animals. Her library books from school are always an animal book.

Lindy, when you come to grandma's bring something to read to me! I would love to hear you read something lovely! And when do you run? recess time, during math, to school? You are amazing!
animal books? I didn't know that about Lindy! And the running, amazing how our kids leave home and start to learn and do new things. Great post.
