I've been blogging for a year now. As no surprise to you all, I love it.
Which is a surprise to me. I had no idea I was going to like it so much.
Blogging is one of the greatest things ever invented for me.
I'm such a blabber mouth, this is such a great way for me to blab about nothing.
Plus, I am a homebody right now with kids at home most of the day.
It's nice to connect with so many of you through blogging.
Thanks to those of you who read this blog.
I like sharing my ramblings with somebody.
Feel free to comment, occasionally. I like comments, so I know who my audience is.
But, I'm bad about commenting on your blogs, I'm sorry.
Chris tells me he doesn't get my blog.
He occasionally says, "I don't get it." "It doesn't make any sense."
"Can you just put pictures of the kids up?" "That's all I really like."
One time when we were looking at a stranger's family blog together.
He was admiring all of the great photos the mother had taken for her blog.
"Could you do that?", he suggested. "That's how a blog should look."
"You know, your blog should have a some kind of theme, some kind of direction."
"Well. . . I guess your blog is about avoiding housework.", he concluded.
Yeah, who knows what my blog is about. I agree.
Chris is right, and I'm glad he helps me try to do better.
But I love my randomness, it makes me happy.
I could easily post 5 times a day; I have a long list of all my post ideas.
It's crazy, I know, I know. But, I don't get into TV or have many other hobbies.
I haven't liked Facebook nor have I ever tried Twittering, I just blog.
I used to love shopping or looking at real estate online.
I think blogging is a much better hobby for me than spending money or looking at new houses.
Now, you really know I'm weird.
You run that risk if you're a blabber like me, people will think you are weird.
But, I like taking the risk.
Here's to another great year of blogging,
avoiding housework, and blabbing!
P.S. And no, I can't have a blog with really cool photos on it.
My camera is not set up for that, it's not really my thing, and my lighting is always off. Always.
Sorry about that, I like their blog too. That mom does take great photos.

I love reading your blog! You know why? Because I love talking to you! You are such a great conversationalist. And when I read your blog, I feel like I'm talking to you! I'm always in a good mood after talking to you.

Katie, I absolutely love your blog. And ya know what? As much as I love your adorable kids if all you did was put up pictures of them I totally wouldn't read it. I don't read most of my friends blogs because of that, lol. Honestly I LOVE that you have such fun little interesting things to say and that it doesn't take you 9 paragraphs to say it. Your blog is like a magazine for me, just fun snippets of information, stories, pictures, recipes, and it's so much fun to browse. Good job! I think you've picked the perfect format for your ramblings :) Ignore Chris for not getting it. I TOTALLY "get it."
