Our Dog, Blazer, was on the NEWS!

A man in our ward, had his custom wheelchair stolen at a BSU game over the weekend.

Our ward and families were encouraged to help look for it around the area near the stadium on Monday for Family Home Evening. Our boys' scout master also wanted the scout troop to help look for it too. So we brought our whole family, including our boy scouts, and our dog to help look for the missing wheel chair.

The local news station was there.

Watch the video, and count how many Wells family members made the 10 o'clock news last night.

Refuge from the Storm

I've been inspired by this video:

We can help by going to www.justserve.org

Even if my time is sometimes limited I can smile when I see them around our town. Now that my eyes and ears have been opened to them, I see refugees quite a bit now in our community - at parks, in the grocery store, at the dr's office, etc.

I can donate supplies.
Our church often has drives for assembling health kits, school supplies, blankets, etc.

Praying for them, is also a great place to just start.  I can recognize a prompting, and do my best to follow through.

I'm grateful for Service

I'm grateful our ward had a service project this month.
As families, we raked leaves for other families in our ward.
New widows, elderly, and those who were in need.

At first my kids fought about which rake to use,
then they were cold and tired, even before we started.
Brandon cried and had a tantrum.
But, slowly they started to rake as others joined in.
Before they knew it work was getting done,
and they were having fun.

Tate climbed trees in between raking.

Brandon cried if anyone used this rake.
He was the only authorized to use it.

He and his friends developed quite a system of quickly putting leaves in the bags.
